"Working with the ego developmental stage model in coaching enabled a personal leap in development and, as a result, a new level of effectiveness in my role as Managing Director—especially in complex contexts where I had previously felt limited. It allowed me to resolve areas of tension that had been weighing on me."

What defines me

I am driven by the question of how leaders can develop their potential because this not only brings positive effects for the leaders themselves but also for entire groups of people within organizations. In this sense, leadership is a lever with significant influence on the positive development of organizations.

However, the focus of coaching is not only on the organization and how you act as a leader within it. Equally important are issues that arise in your personal life or are directly related to your professional topics. These areas are closely connected, influence each other, and require a holistic perspective.

Coaching is also about personal development on the path to effectiveness and fulfillment.

Coaching-Background

My work as a coach is grounded in my own leadership experience in building two companies and insights gained from around 100 development and change projects for organizations worldwide. I have been influenced by the theories and methods of Jane Loevinger, Susanne Cook-Greuther, Robert Kegan, and Lisa Lahey (ego/self-development), Ed Deci and Richard Ryan (self-determination), Fred Kiel (return on character), Ronald Heifetz (adaptive leadership), Otto Scharmer's Theory U, Frédéric Laloux (reinventing organizations), systems thinking, the principles and humanistic perspective of transactional analysis, and the belief that we, as human beings, carry within us everything we need to be effective and fulfilled.

As a former communications manager, I have prepared hundreds of top executives for internal and public communication events (town halls, panels, interviews, TED conferences, etc.).

Equally important is my self-awareness through intensive self-exploration. I am a member of the Institute of Coaching, a Harvard Medical School affiliate. Since 2000, I have engaged in professional exchange with a network of experienced colleagues.
